What if one of us has been married before?

St. Paul's Church

Up until 2003, the Church of England ruled against the remarriage of anyone whose former marriage partner was still living. Now the rules have been updated to allow remarriage under certain circumstances.

This is good news for couples where the breakdown of a previous relationship meant the church had to say no even though many years had passed.

It is my firm belief that God wants to give us an opportunity for us to make a new start. There is healing and forgiveness for mistakes of the past and marriage is a sign of hope as a new family is born.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you are thinking of getting married. It will be good to meet you and talk through how we can make your wedding day really special.

Even though St Paul’s is not a traditional backdrop for photos you will find that the service is warm and friendly. Guests feel very much part of the occasion and we can easily accommodate at least 140 people. Parking is available on the streets nearby.

To enquire about a Wedding, either telephone the Vicar on 020 8500 3366 or e-mail him:
